A Holiday Lift by Corinne Michaels is a sweet and short Christmas romance that serves as a nice little appetizer to start the holiday season off. Coming in at only 100 pages, Michaels manages to fit in a backstory for couple Holly and Dean, a sex scene, and a bit of romance. I think it would be sweet if this was spun out into a full fledged novel because there is definitely potential there.
The ending I didn’t care for simply because View Spoiler ». I definitely would’ve loved to have seen the previous Christmas when they were firmly in a relationship to see how he made her fall in love with the holiday again. Or it would’ve been nice to pick up with Holly and Dean hooking up at the holiday party before getting stuck in the elevator. Either way, I think I would still recommend A Holiday Lift by Corinne Michaels. It was cute. It was quick. It was Christmas.
