My neighbor believes in Christmas magic. That’s because someone takes out her trash, does her dishes and laundry, clears snow from her driveway, and puts up Christmas decorations in her house.
She has no idea it’s me, her stalker neighbor, who watches her every move. Seeing only the good around her, she fails to notice I also steal her panties and curtains. She doesn’t know I’m in her bedroom every night.
What I do is for her protection as much as for my pleasure. Emma loves to help, often bringing sick or lost animals into her home. She takes on way too much, sometimes forgetting to care for her own needs. I make sure she has food on her table, gas in her tank, and a safe, salted driveway.
It works out perfectly until she decides to make me her next pet project. I can’t risk being discovered, and even though I want nothing more than to be with her, it’s impossible. War trauma has left me unable to speak unless I wear a mask.
I know for a fact someone as innocent as her will never accept my creepy ways. Nothing, not even the magic of Christmas, will bring us together.
Even though I secretly wish it would.
This is a spicy Christmas novella involving stalking, masks, and toe-curling romance. If you find OTT protective ex-military stalkers hot, this book is for you!

review

A Very Stalker Christmas by Layla Fae is my second book by the same author. I was really looking forward to this and hoping this would turn the author into an instabuy. While it was fun, it didn’t hit quite as hard as what I’ve read previously.

FMC Emma is wild. Not literally but in her actions. She has no sense of self preservation and it’s just absolutely insane to me. In fact, I found her to be more unhinged than MMC Logan. You’re telling me you just let absolute strangers stay at your home and you’re a single woman? You’re telling me someone is randomly cleaning your home, buying your groceries, etc. etc. and you’re like wow what a nice gesture?! Absolutely insane behavior on her part. That’s the bit that really just had me scrunching my face in distaste. It made her so unlikable. That said, her brand of crazy must’ve done it for neighbor Logan because he needed someone to care for and got her. He was an interesting MMC and this could’ve gone a lot darker but didn’t considering it’s only about 100 pages and Christmas themed (barely – it’s just the decor in the backdrop basically.)

This was super short and easy to read. I think if you’re into dark romances and want a palette cleanser, you might enjoy A Very Stalker Christmas by Layla Fae. If you’re looking for something a bit more serious, this won’t be for you.
