Sometimes you fall in love with a killer.
Sasha Mitchell had life figured out. A vivacious thirty-year-old, she owned her own business, shook her more than generous curves with a burlesque troupe, and kept her bed warm with a series of casual partners, not too worried about finding forever.
That is until her one night with Luca Moretti.
That one night was all it took for Luca to know Sasha was someone special. He falls fast and hard and would do anything to keep her—including lie about who he really is and how much danger she faces being by his side.
When Sasha discovers the truth, will she be strong enough to survive the Moretti Family?
Sasha and the Butcher is the first full-length novel in a trilogy in The Moretti Family Series and features a plus-size bisexual heroine and a cinnamon roll mob boss that has no problem ending any threats to the woman he loves. This book contains mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences. Please check the author's website for CW and TW.

review

I am pretty sure Sasha and the Butcher by Stephanie Kazowz is another BookTok pick and this one was a pretty good one! Sasha was a great FMC, one of the best ones I’ve read in a while. She was strong, confident, and sexy. She knew what she wanted and what she didn’t and wasn’t afraid to make it clear. I don’t know if I’ve read an FMC like her. Then we have Luca, a sweet boy who is roped into joining the family business aka the mafia. He falls in love instantly with Sasha and is straightforward with her about how serious he is. Despite being a killer, he was the sweetest boy when it came to Sasha.

Then, we have the breakdown and it is so satisfying and sad. Sasha is afraid of commitment. She doesn’t want to be hurt and letdown and fights to keep her independence. When Luca assures her that it will be good, that nothing has to change – everything obviously changes. The reveal/s were written so well and felt so satisfying. Sasha’s reaction felt so real and normal, natural. The end? Killed me. Just so many great characters, great romance, and a good plot.

If you want a mafia romance with an absolute cinnamon roll and an assertive FMC? I think you’ll really like Sasha and the Butcher by Stephanie Kazowz. I know I did!
