Grace has a job she loves, a community she adores, and plenty of friends . . . but her lack of bedroom action has left this event planner too horny to think.
When one ill-advised night at the bar leads to her giving an exhibitionistic show to an unknown presence outside her bedroom window, she thinks she’s hit a new low. When her voyeur turns out to be a nebbishly charming mothman, Grace needs to decide if she can trust her body — and her heart — with this garnet-eyed stranger before he flys out of her life for good.
Sweet Berries is a monster/human romance featuring high heat and a lot of heart, with a guaranteed HEA. It is the second book in the Cambric Creek Steamy Sweet Monster Romance series

review

In for a penny, in for a pound. That’s what I told myself as I picked up Sweet Berries by CM Nascosta, the second in the Cambric Creek series after Morning Glory Milking Farm. I don’t know what I expected out of this, but Nascosta continues to make sweet monster romances with spice and so many questions.

FMC Grace was a little weird and didn’t feel like an actual character. What I mean is the only thing I walked away from this book knowing about her was that she was constantly horny and lonely. That’s it. It almost feels like that’s the extent of her character and all we need to know about her. MMC Merrick is a bit of the same. A workaholic who has no friends or family and accepts being treated as a second-class citizen for being a mothman.

This one is very plot loose spice and romance only. Grace was WILD for masturbating in front of an open window and trying to lure whomever she thought was outside in. Like, if she was that horny, there was a minotaur coworker right there to help. But a stranger on the street is a so much better option. Right. After that, it was nice to see Grace get to know Merrick, the mothman that took her up on her nightly window escapades. I loved seeing Grace open Merrick’s eyes to his own worth, make him realize he deserves better than to accept scraps. It was sweet, seeing them fall for each other. The spice was interesting. It’s a monster romance, after all, and this was very not humanoid.

Sweet Berries by CM Nascosta is a monster romance that I would recommend to anyone looking to read monster smut and don’t care about plot or personality because listen, sometimes, we all need a palate cleanser or fun time no thoughts kind of book.
